You may choose to have either a Church or a civil wedding ceremony.

Church weddings are held in four of our local country Churches: St. Nicholas' in Lazonby, St Cuthburt's in Great Salkeld, St Oswald's in Kirkoswald and All Saints' in Renwick. Our local vicar looks after all four churches, he is very friendly and will consider the merit of couples wishing to marry for the second time.

Civil ceremonies are conducted by the Penrith Registrars and are held indoors in the marquee, in a room adjoining the marquee and in two of the reception rooms in the Lodge

Civil ceremonies are also held outside in the garden room with the huge stone archway and in a stone temple on an island on one of the lakes on the Estate
