Welcome to Bracken Bank Lodge

Standing in its own 700 acre Estate this beautifully appointed shooting lodge has been a well loved retreat for Royalty, the aristocracy and landed gentry for over 80 years. Dating from the 16th Century the spacious lodge is traditionally furnished with antiques, oil paintings, sporting prints and hunting trophies. The lodge is home to the Burtons, a colonial family and the renowned Bracken Bank gun dogs.

Bracken Bank Lodge is the perfect venue for shooting parties, weddings, corporate entertainment, family holidays and romantic breaks. The lodge is full of character and has a wonderful atmosphere. The stunning private estate hosts a wide range of quality sporting activities.

The famous lodge lies in the heart of the Eden valley in the North Lake District, an area of outstanding natural beauty. The historic market town of Penrith is just six miles away. Within easy reach are the famous lakes and fells, castles, druid stone circles, Hadrian's wall, Keswick and Ullswater, England's most beautiful lake.

The setting is tranquil and idyllic and yet the M6 and A6 are just a few miles away. Just follow the brown tourist signs marked "Bracken Bank Lodge" with the symbol of a country house from the A6. There is unlimited off street parking at the Lodge. Penrith railway station has a direct 3 hour service to London.
