Bracken Bank Lodge is situated off junction 41 of the M6 and is easily located from the A6. Please download a map for reference on your journey.
There is a very wide range of places to stay in the area for you to choose from, turn to the next page for lots of local accommodation. We recommend booking somewhere to stay at your earliest convenience. If you know other guests attending the wedding you might find it great fun to book a large property together, Staffield Hall and Blencowe Hall are fabulous.
There are also plenty of taxi firms to choose from, they will need booking well in advance. Musical entertainments finish at 11pm and the marquee closes at midnight. You will find that booking your taxi for between 11.30 and 11.45 is ideal (and a lot cheaper than a booking for midnight). If you have booked accommodation with a group of other guests you may like to book a coach or minibus.
Penrith railway station is only six miles from Bracken Bank Lodge and has an excellent 3 hour service from London.You can save up to 70% on your train fare if you are a group of ten or more and book a group travel ticket, call Virgin Trains on 0870 010 4490 for details. Taxis are available from the station but you may prefer to book one in advance.

The Lake District and Eden Valley are such wonderful areas to visit you may wish to extend your stay, you may like to enquire about bed and breakfast at Bracken Bank Lodge for after the date of the wedding.
